Taylor Swift Adds Four Bonus ‘Vault’ Tracks For ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’
Taylor Swift has officially disclosed which additional songs would appear on her most recent re-record project, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), following a frenzy of 33 million Swifties solving puzzles to reveal the “Vault” tracks planned for the album.
Taylor Swift’s songs have been announced and will be included on the album when it is released on October 27: “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” and “Suburban Legends.” Of course, that wasn’t enough; fans instantly demanded to know the title of a fifth additional song that Swift had promised would be included in the collection as well as the identity of an unidentified Target-only single.
Simba Daily News published a new pop-up animation from Google to mark the eagerly awaited 1989 release on Tuesday (Sept. 19), and as with all things Swift, there was a flurry of action in response. There was so much Googling about the 89 puzzles fans were urged to answer to unlock the “Taylor’s Vault” tracks that the search engine acknowledged it was more than it could handle.
The vault is crowded, 1920s! However, rest assured that there are no empty places inside,” it tweeted on Tuesday night. “We’re in the age of DIY and will soon be out of the woods.”
However, it didn’t last long as Google updated the search’s status on Wednesday with yet another flurry of puns referencing Swift, “Swifties, we made it out of the woods! Built are bridges. Cracked codes. Vault is now open.
It’s the fourth “Version” that Swift has released since launching her re-recording project in 2019. Swift debuted the 1989 version in August. The previous three songs—Fearless (Taylor’s Version) with two weeks in 2021, Red (Taylor’s Version) with one week in 2021, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with two weeks in 2023—all spent time at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
